In a world where smartphone brands are battling for attention, Pixel 8 emerges as the game-changer. So on its release, as Google Pixel's media partner, we were tasked to make its arrival unmissable.

From both working with fast-moving global launch toolkits, covering TV ads and OOH, as well as concepting our own assets for social, we created a comprehensive package promoting new features leading to a lift in consideration of the new phone - feeding directly into our huge media plan.

^ The ads above are shown for reference and were developed by Google Creative Lab. The large, cropped Google Pixel text was designed to push the aesthetic of the brand in a way that feels confident and distinctive.

FROM TV TO HIGH-IMPACT TAKEOVERS

We worked creatively with footage shown on the campaign's TV ads, creating interactive takeovers on WeTransfer showcasing Pixel's 'Best Take' feature.

Templates were also created for standard display banners in the UK and France.

STAND OUT SOCIAL

On social, we partnered with creators from every social niche, from videographers to footballers to steer the Pixel 8 conversation.

I helped shortlist creators, and created title cards and ads for all social formats to run on Google's paid ads. The result below shows these creative ads which call out the Pixel's features  in new and fun ways.

FOOTBALL PARTNERSHIPS

This year Pixel become the mobile partner of the England Teams, Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC. The partnership further strengthens Google’s commitment to football and will give fans exclusive on and off-pitch activity through the Pixel camera lens.

We played a part in creating digital and print assets to communicate these partnerships. From the Wembley digital screen, to the matchday programmes, email CRM and digital banners. This is a small selection of this campaign.

Of course, a lot of people came together to create the work shown on this page. My involvement was in concepting, designing and delivering ads for bespoke channels in Europe from display, social to OOH.
