Brixton Finishing School exists to disrupt how the marketing, advertising & communication industries recruit talent - with the aim of making industry roles accessible to anyone who has the talent and drive to succeed. We created a bold identity, strengthening their brand on social and digital for the launch of new programmes.
This project was completed pro-bono at Essence, in January 2020. I was the main designer on the project, refining concepts with a Creative Director and Design Lead.
The full process covered brand concepts all the way through to final delivery, exploring type and image treatment with feedback from Brixton Finishing School’s current students. It was a project I’m very proud to be a part of and one that continues to make a difference.

THE IDEA
We aimed to create a bold visual identity that encapsulated Brixton Finishing School's statements about recruitment in the creative industries, so we matched the ultrabold typeface Monument Extended with paper textures and simple sticker icons.
AD-CADEMY
The identity has since been extended for use across all of Brixton Finishing School's channels, including their Ad-Cademy which was created by Mother Design.
